Feb. 10: College Shabbat with Inland Empire Chabad

Mark your calendar for a most Inland Empire Shabbat on Feb. 10th! Along with Inland and Desert Hillel, students from Cal Poly Pomona and the Claremont schools will be in attendance at Shabbat cosponsored by Inland and Desert Hillel along with Rabbi Harlig of Inland Empire Chabad in Rancho Cucamonga.

 

If you want to light candles, come at 5:00 PM for lighting and services. If you want to just come for dinner (which is TOTALLY FINE!), come at 6:00 PM. Please let me know whether you can drive or if you would like a ride.

Jan. 27: Redlands Hillel and UCR AEPi Joint Shabbat

The University of Redlands Hillel are teaming up with UC Riverside’s only Jewish fraternity to bring you an unbelievable Shabbat experience tomorrow, Jan. 27th. After a dinner and Shabbat music led by the fabulous Charlie Kramer (1st year Redlands student), everyone will be relaxing over dessert by the campus fire pit. Come meet new friends in the Inland Empire and join us for a very memorable Shabbat! If you can provide a ride let me know, and if you need a ride, you can also let me know!

Bring your questions and have an interesting discussion with us for our first event of 2012 as we explore the Jewish relationship with tats with our guest speaker Rabbi Drew Kaplan from Long Beach. THE SECOND CITY “Laugh out Loud Tour” Dec. 15, 7 PM

America’s famed comedy troupe, which launched the careers of Tina Fey, Stephen Colbert, Steve Carell, Gilda Radner, Bill Murray and more is coming to the Inland Empire!
Temple Isaiah in Palm Springs is hosting an evening of hilarious sketch comedy and Second City’s trademark improvisation on Thursday, Dec. 15 at 7 PM.
Tickets are going for $150, $100, and $50, but a generous donor is allowing all college students to GO FREEEEEEEE! Contact hillel@iehillel.org for carpools.

Chanukah Comedy Night, Dec. 13, 7:30 PM

Temple Beth El, a reform congregation in Riverside, is hosting a special show on Tuesday, December 13 called “How Do You Spell Chanukah?” This fun comedy night will be hosted by Hollywood-area writer/actors Marc Silver and Douglas Dickerman.

Cost is only $18 per person, which includes dinner at 6pm, followed by the show at 7:30pm.  If you are unable to make reservations in time, come for the show. If you mention this posting you can get in for $14!
